我也错在C，这里自己想明白了一点就是，该现象的发现已经对学术研究产生了重要的影响。而C中的its implications for further research are suggested，它的对未来研究的意义被暗示出来了，对已发生的事情错误的理解为未发生的事情。所以这里以该是选择B。
