Question about the statistics and Business PhD

Boys and girls. It is known that statistics is a great tool of business PhD study. Uptill now, I have only the knowledge of the probability and statistics, this semester, I took the elective of econometrics. Without any PhD education before, I do not know what other statistics courses that I can prepare for.

What is the matrix correlation? While I was reading a paper by Churchil (1979) on how to design the scale items, I found myself lack of some foundation courses. But I do not know which course or text books told these knowledge .

I think Theory of Linear Model and Multivariate statistics should be OK.

You are asking "correlation matrix"? It is a table that uses matrix formalt to show correlations.
