It's true that the earlier, the better. But since you've already in Canada, chance still exists even in March. What is your target school, if you don't mind I'm asking? I would suggest you start to contact your target school before you submit application. In Canada, local applicants usually have big advantages.

事实上我的GPA不算高，背景也比好多CD中的朋友弱，看来只有象lewis和你所说的，靠GMAT来一搏了。

我在国内的职位最高也只是产品工程师。在国内工作的公司是美国的前500强，在该行业（属于制造业）是leader，但现在好象也一般。且本人对财务，金融的了解甚少。所以可能重点不在财经金融方面(还有个原因是我的高数学的不咋样)
读MBA的目的是想可以提高自己的水平，例如分析能力呀，处理事情的能力呀，和认识一批志同道合的朋友，职业目的是以后可以回国或在加拿大做上中高层管理人才。
不知您可以给点意见我吗？

Ivey could be your best choice, in terms of improving your soft skills. York is also a good choice. I strongly suggest you to visit school campus and sit in their class. Then you should have better idea what kind of classmates & professors you will have.

chipmunk, as you said, people staying Canada have the advantage of contacting with school before submitting their package. I am quite interested in the way to contact with school.

I would like to know what you mean "contact" here?
we may divide the question about into several small questions:

1. who should I contact with? admission officer or professor?
if it is admisson officer, I think they are busy and have no time..
if it is professor, how to contact with them? Do you think a professor who you don't know will be kind enough to talk with you..they are always very busy as well

2. the purpose to contact with them and the benefit of the contact
Even we got a chance to talk with professor or admission officer, what topic should I talk with them?
Do you think they have interest and patience to hear about your story and background?
if it is not a long talk, you can't leave an impression to them, how can the talk benefit your application?

You may be surprised how excited when adcom knows you want to talk to them. :-) just kidding.

You should only contact adcom, not the professor, unless you want to apply other Master program. There are several ways you could use:
1) information session (you could check their schedule on schools' website)
2) call adcom and schedule a campus visit
3) call adcom if you have anything want to clarify from them

The purpose:
1) show your enthusiastism about their program (you may do little homeword before reach them);
2) let them know your're good candidate;
3) most important, by taking their class, you could know what kind of classmate and professor in that school.
