38. the output of shrimps for many boat owners increased a lot, to the amount of a million tons, in the past several year, many shoppers have bought many shrimps from retailers at least50 million tons annually, but this year shoppers did not buy so many shrimps from retailers, the discrepancy exist because---------------.

I guess that the sentence should say because shoppers bought from the boat owners directly due to the low price.

How do you think?
