有關enroll rate 下降的原因在於DARDEN在美國網路泡沫化及911後的1年2年後（2003還是2004吧）增加了1 班(60人），可是美國的就業市場在這段期間仍屬不太好的階段，所以在學校要收的人增加，要念mba的人少的時候自然會導致enroll rate下降，所以其實你的朋友不要太在意這個過渡的時期的數據。你的朋友要權衡的是darden中國學生過去及現在找全職及實習工作的”詳細”狀況，而不需要太在意數字上的波動。

另外，我太不了解你同學未來職業發展的方向，但要注意的是，以一些知名的投行及顧問公司而言，他們有所謂的CORE SCHOOLS的名單，名單上很多都是ELITE 3 或是 MAGIC 7的學校，這些公司在選人的時候會優先從這些學校選比較多的人，所以如果你的朋友有上述學校的OFFER，而他理想的公司的CORE SCHOOL 沒有DARDEN，在現實的考量下，也選去念上述的學校會有較多的機會。

然而更重要的是，實力才是握牢機會的根本，無論你上了哪一所學校，沒有非常流利的語言能力及或者是的先前的工作經驗跟理想的工作一點相關都沒有，在哪間學校找工作都會同樣的困難。

最後你朋友可以上去看看darden2005年畢業班的就業狀況（http://www.darden.virginia.edu/career/employmentRpt/class05.htm），並且再去比較ROSS,DUKE,CORNELL,BERKLEY,的資料你會發覺根本沒啥差別，所以啦還是選個課程設計全MBA最操（參見ＢＷ的討論 http://forums.businessweek.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?nav=messages&tsn=1&tid=68224&webtag=bw-bschools）教學品質優良嚴謹，風景宜人的DARDEN吧。

Sounds very reasonable. BTW, where can we find the core schools lists? Do this lists vary among different kinds of jobs, for example, finance or general management?

   volume on B-Week. Duke and Michigan also experienced significant declines
   in applications over the past year or two. However, as of our last update
   from our admissions reps, application volume has increased in the
   double-digits over last year. Additionally, our recruitment of women and
   minorities is up significantly.Regarding your question about the Darden
   brand in Asia, Dean Bruner recently completed a mission to Asia to
   continue to build our brand.

darden is 100% case method

everyday you have three classes

the first class begins at 8 AM

each class takes 85minutes

no windows in the classroom

you can't use internet in classes

the class ends around 1:15 or 1:30 i forget

you need to prepare the three cases in the afternoon for next day classes

i applied to this school and am waiting for the decision now

i love it but am also a little bit afraid of the demanding study

but if you can survive in the school, you will be a very strong candidate in the job market

Such horrible experience... I have to do more school research then...
