Per our conversation, here are the links to our employment report http://www.olin.wustl.edu/wcrc/pdf/AnnualReport.pdf and information regarding our financial aid and scholarships http://www.olin.wustl.edu/mba/adm/finaid.cfm . Everyone who is admitted into our program is considered for merit-based scholarships including fifteen full-tuition Wood Fellowships. There is no separate application needed for these. The Admissions Committee will review your admissions application to determine eligibility.
The Olin School offers international students a number of financing options: Supplemental Loan Programs -- private loans designed specifically for international students by banks. These programs require that international students have a credit-worthy U.S. citizen or permanent resident as a co-signer. You can borrow up to the "cost of education." What this means is that you can borrow tuition plus living expenses minus any scholarship received. The rates are based on the prime rate but vary depending on your co-signer's credit history -- the better the credit history, the better the rate. We also offer international students a student loan whereby they would be eligible without a co-signer. This loan program would allow you to borrow a maximum of the cost of tuition minus any scholarship. At this time I cannot tell you the exact amount you will be able to borrow, as that will be based on the amount of student interest. Once you arrive here for classes, there will be an open enrollment period for us to determine the demand. Once we know the level of interest, we will be able to determine the exact amount an individual student can borrow. Right now, there are no forms or anything you need to complete for financial aid.
Monthly Payment Plan -- an interest free monthly payment plan that allows students to spread yearly tuition payments over 10, 9, or 8 months, starting June 1st, July 1st, or August 1st, respectively. The deadline to enroll is August 1st. There is a $60 administrative fee to join. If you choose this option, your payment must be made from a U.S. bank. For specifics about this plan contact (314) 935-5274.
Graduate Assistantships -- Part-time job whereby students are given an opportunity to work for Olin faculty and staff. These positions pay a reasonable rate per hour for an average of 10 hours a week. These positions are available after the first semester of our program. Graduate assistantships do not include any tuition remission and are coordinated by the student after arrival on campus.
Fellowships -- The Ford Foundation offers fellowships to international students from Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and Russia through their International Fellowships Program. The International Fellowship Program aims to broaden the talent pool of future leaders by making a special effort to recruit exceptional individuals who would otherwise lack opportunities for advanced study.
