Some words and statements are overused and misused, for example cliche, so that we may use the meaning that deviates from the original meaning of the word. Voters need to get much information about the candidate they will vote as possible before they vote. Therefore, in order to win the election, candidates should not use words and statements such as cliche while giving a speech or expressing political opinions.

which of the following is an assumption on which the argumen depends?

(A) The vaguer the candidate expresses, the more disadvantageous the candidate is in running for the office.

(B) Both voters and candidates know the misused meaning and the original meaning of those words and statements.

先把题干理一下

P：有一些表达经常被用错（比如cliche）,人们理解的意思跟它本身的意思不一样。投票的人会了解一些竞选者的信息。
C：为了赢得竞选，竞选者最好不要用cliche

ASSUMPTION题取非削弱
A取非：竞选者的话越不清晰（越有歧义），他赢的竞选的可能性要么不变要么更大(not more disadventageous）
这就说明，用cliche（有歧义的表达）是更利于赢得选举的，削弱结论
A是正确答案

B取非：投票的人和竞选的人不是全部都了解cliche的原意和误解的意思无关

这个题感觉不像是GMAC官方的题，如果真的不是GMAC官方的题的话，建议楼主以后多做一些GMAC官方的题，因为其他机构出的题，做起来总有点怪怪的。（如果是GMAC官方的题，那就是我自己搞错了，哈哈）

B属于无关选项。结论成立在于Candidate是否使用了这种词汇，candidate对于词汇的认知和candidate对于词汇的行为没有必然的关联。故而是无关选项。
类似的逻辑失误比如：

To avoid mistakes on the GMAT exams, Peter should be more careful.

1) Peter knows that if he's not careful enough, he could make mistakes.

2) Peter will more likely make mistakes if he's not careful.
