Five days left. Please give me more suggestions on writting. I am nervous because I have no confidence, especially on writting.

   I was born and grow up in a traditional house and now live in a modern apartment building in a city. I have a strong feeling that I love to live in a modern apartment. The reasons are quite clear. Living in a modern apartment is very convenient. Its convenience can be expressed on several aspects as follows:

   First, modern apartment has a lot of modern facilities. In my apartment, I use refrigerator to store food, gas stove to cook, washing machine to wash clothes and dishwasher to wash dishes. Air condition makes the room temperature even. There are other facilities around my apartment, such as swimming pool, fitness center and table tennis court. Modern living way saves a lot of time and makes life easier. While I was in my traditional house, most of my spare time was on housework.  The scorching summer was especially unbearable. Food turned bad very fast. I sweated all the day and had no appetite to try anything. Flies and mosquitoes visited me often. I could not concentrate myself on reading or studying. It’s difficult to get use to live in the traditional house again after I have enjoyed the convenience the modern apartment brought me.

    On the other hand, traffic is always the best reason for me to live in an apartment. My apartment is close to downtown. With only one RMB, I take a bus to shopping center, school, park, bookstores, public library, you name it. When I lived in a traditional house, I had to ride a bike to the bus terminal and transfered several buses to get downtown. It often took longer time and made me very tied.

    Admittedly, living in a traditional house may enjoy the fresh vegetables and fruits.  But taking care of a garden consums a lot of time, I would like to save more time to learn more new knowledge and high technology to keep pace with the modern society. Maybe, when I am in my old age, I will be back to my traditional house to enjoy the rural life.

    With the discussion above, I like to live in a modern apartment rather than a traditional house.

     Last but the most important, I do not need to do maintenance to live in a modern apartment. Suppose the heater doesn’t work. I just need to make a call and the management office will send people to have it repaired. But if I live in a traditional house, I have to figure out what the problem is then I call someone to repair it. What’s more, I have to pay for the materials and handling.

      Admittedly, living in a traditional house has some advantages such as one may enjoy the fresh vegetables and fruits. But, it takes too much time to care a garden. I would like to save the time to learn more new knowledge and high technology to keep pace with the modern society. Considering living in a modern building has more advantages, I prefer to live in a modern apartment rather than a traditional house.
