如果investigators的investigate（也就是find out）没有作用（也就是没有contribute to），那么find out why---都是徒劳的，就不可能有之后（then---）的效果。

所以D就是一个presupposition，而BCE都是无关选项，或者说没有提到。而A中的Pilot error在题目中就不是重点。
