1.     People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Today it is a hot topic to probe why people choose territory education at a college or university at their prime age, which actually present what higher education can offer to the candidates. There are main three reasons, such as new experiences, career preparations and increased knowledge to some extent which are difficult to distinct. However, I advocate the second one through serious consideration.

Firstly, as we know, it is a fiercely competitive society and young people face unprecendated competition compared to before in job market. Usually a college or university education background has become a basic request to job entry and moreover, the college or university education pays more attention on the industry requests on talents’ professional skills which will help them adopt the positions in industry smoothly and swiftly. You can’t imagine that the industry will offer the time and opportunity to college students to position training to compensate the tasks of college or university education, and even university offers programs to meet students’ career request as they recruit students.

Secondly, the last but more important, it is still very important to establish good interpersonal relationship before college students enter job markets. Among many sucessful factors, it is a key to know people better and know which kind of people even in mordern world. For example, many young students are very active to take part in social activities at campus which will grealy rich their social life circle. They can get more help as they enter job market and get more successful opportunities in their career development. That is a good career preparation for them at campus. Then we can easily understand why many guys pursue MBA programs in this point.

Based on the above reasons, we can clearly conclude that a college or university education definitely give young students a good platform for their career preparation, not new experiences or knowledge.
