Many students have to live with roommates while going to school or university, and they have to eat together, work together and even sleep together in a same place. With regard to the important qualities of a good roommate, different people hold different criterion due to their personality. In my point of view, I think consideration, honesty and politeness are three main qualities that a good roommate should possess. In the following discussion, I would like to provide evidence to support my viewpoints.

Firstly, consideration for other people is the most important qualities that roommates and even every person must have. This can be seen in the test or exam period. Sometimes, you would review your test or exam in the mid-night while your roommates are sleeping. If your roommates can understand you, they would support you and wouldn't think that you are bothering them. Nevertheless, some roommates hate people make noise while they are sleeping, though you have a suitable reason.

Secondly, honesty is another quality that I have chosen to put here, and I think that people undoubtedly should have this characteristic. Just imagine, if you are living with a dishonest person, I think your money, cell phone, laptop and so on would be stolen. Again, an honest person can make you feel that they are reliable. Don't you think honesty is another chief reason?

Politeness is the third quality of a good roommate should possess. One indisputable fact is that living with other people would inevitable have argument. Not only can politeness reduce the probability of argument, but also can make you have a good relationship among your roommates.

To sum up, those qualities discussed above are very important for me to live with other person. I think a person without those qualities cannot live with other people, and they wouldn't incorporate into the society.
