我做题的时候也觉得应该以人名开头下半句，对应her。

这题是用平行并列来解题的，大家最先看出来的应该是后面and连接的两个平行结构，根据平行，AB中的discovery和documenting不可选，E中的discovering和documentation也是不可选的，剩下CD  这时候要结合前面的分句In addition to her work on the Miocene hominid fossil record,，这个分句不会是一个独立的结构存在，一定会和后面的有联系 in additional就表明了后面应该是和her work并列的结构，而C中的contributor显然不可以和work并列，D中的主语刚好契合~~
