if 500 is the multiple of 100 that is closest to x and 400 is the multiple of 100 that is closest to y, which multiple of 100 is closet to x+y?

其实此题就是说x近似于500，y近似于400。然后问x+y近似于多少。这种题一看不是选C就是选E，而此题该选E。因为条件1，x近似于500，选两个最极端的数字，x可是是451或499。条件2，y近似于400，同样选最极端的，y可以是351或399，那么x+y就可以是802或898，前者近似于800，后者近似于900。
