（1）A grocery store purchased crates of 40 oranges each for $5.00 per crate and then sold each orange for $0.20.  What was the store's gross profit on each crate of oranges?

(C) $8.00

(D) $10.00

(E) $13.00

这题怎么算出来的？

（2）According to the directions on a can of frozen orange juice concentrate, 1 can of concentrate is to be mixed with 3 cans of water to make orange juice.  How many 12-ounce cans of the concentrate are required to prepare 200 6-ounce servings of orange juice?

 

(A)  25

(B)  34

(C)  50

(D)  67

(E)  100

第一题，

revenue=cost+profit,

        假設X為
                the store's gross profit on each crate of oranges

        0.2x40
            (sold each orange for $0.20)=5( per crate)+X

      8=5+X, X=3

$0.20 * 40= 8 （卖了这么多钱）

8-5=3 （卖-买=净利润）

一份果汁的比例: 濃縮果汁:水=1:3
每份果汁為6 ounce 共需要 200份
                
需要多少罐，每罐12 ounce的濃縮果汁來做這200份的果汁？

一瓶濃縮原汁和三瓶水混合
            可以做出一份果汁

200份 6-ounce 果汁

200÷(3+1)=50

但此時單位是6-ounce

題目問的是12-ounce

50÷2=25

换算成ounce算

200*6=1200 成品

其中有1/4是concentrate

1200*1/4=300

300/12=25

2题应该是A吧，设X罐concentrate 就应有3X的water   

12X+3*12X=200*6

得X=25
