So far, i have never heard anyone turn down the offer from any top school because of money issue...

two suggestions:

1. Don't apply if you still worry about this tiny issue, because:

a. The application process is extremely exhausting and sometimes frustrating according to my two years experience. You won't be able to focus on the real meaningful thing if you will be bothered by the tiny issue from time to time...No good for your application.

b. I don't think you are the poorest applicant. If you do think so, you had better give up applying.

2. get the offer before worrying about money.

By the way, I hope you can think it over and get the offer successfully!!!
