题目出自一月jj, 本人作文基础不太好，练了差不多20多篇，3月7号就要上考场了，希望大家多提意见！

Many teachers assign homework to students every day. Do you think that daily homework is necessary for students?

 

Education nowadays is a top priority in people's lives. In school, every student should do their homework in order to understand the knowledge deeply. When it comes to doing homework, some people believe that it is better for students to do their homework daily. Other people, however, agree that homework should not be assigned to students daily. As far as I am concerned, students should not be forced to do homework everyday.

       In the first place, doing home work daily is not an effective way for students to learn knowledge. It is true that practicing is a good way for learning. However, students are different in their level of study. Some students can master knowledge quickly, whereas others may understand a point relatively slow. If the two types of students are forced to do the same homework everyday, some problems will occur. The students who learn fast will find that it is so boring to do such easy works that they will gradually not willing to learn actively. On the other hand, the students who learn slowly will find that  it is rather difficult for them to finish their homework on time. As a result, they will copy from others. And that will have a negative impact on their study. Therefore, homework should be assigned to students according to their level of understanding rather than everyone do the same homework daily.

       In the second place, students should be assigned to a longer homework in order to learn ability of controlling time. A project, for example, often requires students to finish it in one or two month. During that time, a student can find useful information in library, discuss the some problems with his classmates and partners, do some researches in certain fields. By doing that, students not only master the knowledge solidly, but also learn the ability of arranging time by themselves.

       Admittedly, doing homework daily has its merits for students. For instance, teachers may know each student better because they check their homework everyday. But it does not mean it is better to students do their homework daily.

       From what I have stated above, it is easy to draw a conclusion that students should do their homework but not daily. If I am a teacher, I will give my students the freedom to finish homework in a certain time period rather than daily.
