the researchers dismissed demographic bias because older individuals were not overrepresented in the fossil samples.

这句话确实infer出：older individuals  更多的fraction.
不过这个infer不影响做题。

逻辑线：并不是样本中older individuals  比例多，fraction才这么多。

削弱---确实older individuals  比例多

D：the methods 。。。tend to misidentify many older individuals as younger individuals 意思就是说把很多老的个体当作了年轻的个体的。。。。。。。。。。也就是说sample里面大部分都是老的个体------------older individuals were overrepresented in the fossil samples。

LZ ms对D选项的翻译有误。同意LS后面的解释

PS，LS的DB我开始没看懂，后来知道是demographic bias
