Just my personal opinion:

If you got a regular interview assignment, then you are doing a blind interview.  The interviewer is more than likely unfamiliar with you aside from your resume.

If you got a telephone interview, then your interviewer will be more knowledgeable about your entire application and may ask very specific questions, much like an HBS interview, for instance.

I feel that there are advantages/disadvantages to both.  However, I personally prefer the blind interview as it gives me more room to elaborate on points which I feel need more emphasis.
