Most Canadian schools would take PHD graduates from U.S. schools, so the 25:8 ratio doesn't indicate anything.

The statistics may not mean everything, but clearly has its indication. cross-border hiring has its occurrence but it shouldn't be considered as frequent. a phd candidate from a top us school normally finds positions in the us. a top canadian phd degree has definitely advantages competing a position with 2nd or 3rd rated us schools, even if a top canadian school may not be better than a 2nd rate us school.

When did u get offer from drexel? i applied its phd in marketing, but no reply

Did you mainly apply to accounting programs or finance programs? I know almost all accounting phd students can find jobs (even those graduating from 100-150 ranked schools), but finance phd job market is much more competitive. Only phd finance from good schools can be sure to get a good job. In your case, drexel seems marginal. Queen's is a good business school, although not the best. but in canada, everybody knows it. If you have no interest in accounting at all, then drexel could be an option. Otherwise, queen's seems clearly a better option for me. Also, you can find lots of synergies between accounting and finance.

我的背景一般, 前面说了一些, 国内一般学校的金融硕士, gmat 730, toefl 630, gpa 4.0 无工作经验，有一些研究经力，不过根会计一点关系都没有

此外，大家值不值到 lousianna state univ.的finance 如何阿？不好意思，问的都是一些不知名的小学校

did you also get an offer from louisianna state? i dont know much about the university and think its at the same level as drexel overall, probably slightly better, because i happen to know through my professor before that LSU has 1 or 2 very good faculty in derivatives.
