thomas2007, thank you for your suggestion. Do you mean that an International student is harder to land with a job in Canada even with Rotman's MBA degree?

delphine18,

It's always hard for an international student to secure a decent job in North America. Even with a degree from a top tier b-school, one can not find a job easily if he does not have a green card or working permit. I know someone might find a one year contract with a US company, but it is very difficult to resume the contract to get the green card one year later. Sooner or later, he will have to leave U.S. In Canada, the immigration rules are relatively loosen, but the job market there is not so good and is largely dependent upon what US one looks like.

While generally speaking it's difficult, individually you might have a chance by actively developing your own network in your two years of study and by your solid past working experience and background. Everything is possible as long as you can afford to change. That's the way it is!

Thomas

Thanks Thomas2007, I will consider your suggestion. For me, since I plan to work in N.A. for 2-3 years after graduation, maybe currently US will be my priority.

Anyway, a lot of Chinese students have managed to stay in US including many of my classmates, schoolmates, friends, etc. Compared with the situation that many Chinese people went jobless or came back from Canada, it might be that the job market of latter is tougher.

Of course, most of the students in US are pursuing PhD degrees, which may be another picture.
