Michigan New Admits，shall we have a get-together soon?

Congrats to all new admits of RSB at UMich!

As it shows in this BBS, the first two rounds admits of Michigan are over twenty!  (From the sourse of school, we have 8 mainland and 2 Taiwan admits from the first round. And it would be more than that from the second round.) What a great success we have done!!!

Shall we have a get-together by region, say BJ, SH, GD&HK and outside China in the near future? We will feel excited to have a chance to meet each other in person.

I just send out a proposal on initiating a get-together for all of our Michigan new admits. Go to your mailbox or our yahoo groupmails( if you haven’t registered it yet) and check it out!

First, I suggest we share our real names, phone numbers and emails in our yahoogroup. It is a semi-official way for every new student to communicate with each other or with current students. Believe me, it does help us very much. So, try to use it as much as you can.

Next, who would like to take the honor to be the coordinator in each place?

We can talk about this issue either here or in our yahoo group.

I am glad that many of you have responded my suggestion(either here or in yahoo group).

A short notice to you: Ms. Mengdan Chu has forwarded my suggestion to two alumni in BJ who also want to organize a happy hour for us. The next step we should think about might be contact with some alumni in Beijing,Shanghai,Guangdong and Taiwan respectively with the help of 06ers so that we can have a get-together soon.

07ers, what do you think?

07ers, please go to our yahoo group to register if you haven’t done that. It will be the most convenient and common way to communicate with each other not only in the following months before your enrollment but also during your two years at Michigan (according to 05ers and 06ers’ experience). So, remember: this group is useful and important to you!  (Frankee/waterloo, thank you for your initiative in setting up a database in our group.)

We have already set up a get-together in Beijing this Saturday. All the alumni and new admits who are in Beijing around that time are more than welcome to join us!  ls check the time and venue through RSB 07 yahoo group mail and reply to confirm your attendance ASAP.
