[求助]OG182题

小弟是新人，OG才过第一遍（语法部分），这道题实在是搞不清楚，所以拿到CD上来请教（不要笑我哈）

这是OG上的182题

答案是D，但我怎么看怎么觉得E是对的。象D那样的表述不会让人觉得后面的them是指consumers么？前面有类似的很多这种题。关于平行结构我想我大致是搞得很清楚了，但到这让我对自己又产生了怀疑。

尽管OG对E的解释是wordy和awkward，LZM也说什么主动比被动好。我还是读着E要顺口一些。既然是OG的答案，那肯定是我错了，谁能帮我讲解一下啊？

D不会产生指代不清，因为用的是 a consumer 单数，所以they不会指代consumer.

同意楼上说法,平行不能凌驾于歧义之上.

没有什么一定的规则,在gmat中,切记!

可是如果将(D)  改为 consumers may not think of household cleaning products as句子还是正确地么？是否有them指代consumers 的歧异，尽管nonunderline 部分有they指代cleaning products！

另外，如果没有单复数和指代歧异的前提下，主语为Consumers 或A consumer是不是都可以？

D的优势就是可以避免指代的歧义, 后面的If they, they优先指代主句主语, 如果是consumer的话会产生潜在的歧义, 所以改成单数最好.

那E怎么就 wordy and awkward in its use of the passive voice 呢? 是不是光凭语感呢? 还是有什么规律 关于 什么时候用主动,什么时候用被动。

真的晕了，请版主或NN们再赐教。

i think, under most of the situations, ETS doesn't like passive voice. I'll avoid to choose a passive voice answer when there's a better one. Besides, E causes the confusion by having two possible referents: consumers, and products.
