[讨论]PHDprogram要求国际学生的资金证明是否表示录取

我申请了一个小学校的accounting 的PHD ，好久都没有消息了，既没有面试也没有任何消息，今天收到一个email,要我提供资金证明，请问大家，这是否表示有戏呢。

信件是这样写的，

We are pleased to receive your application for admission to the graduate program of Accounting for Fall 2005.

We will let you know if anything is missing from your application file. I do need to remind you that every international student must submit the Financial Statement, as it is required for the SEVIS I-20. Please send this to the Office of Admissions.

可是奇怪的是，这个PHD是有奖学金的，为什么还要资金证明呢？真的觉得好奇怪，大家觉得呢？

只能说明这个学校不是所有的phd学生都给奖学金！

Some schools require you provide bank statement with your application even though they give financial aid to all students. Just a procedure.
