Also got an interview from them. I actually didn't speak too much but I asked lots of questions about the program and Prof Andy Puckett himself. The PHD committee hasn't started to review applications actually and will not send out offers until campus visits are finished, probably 4 guys would be invited (if I didn't recall mistakenly). Only 2 will be admitted. Andy is busy working with a student who will be on job market this year.
UTK is a not bad school but I don't like the location. Andy is the only reason I applied.
