i dont think locations matter that much. when i interviewed with BB at NYC, there were people who flew from the west coast. unless you aim for small companies, whose number of employees is less than 10, then locations may play a role. even if you go for 100+ employees company, they are still willing to sponsor you a trip to their headquarter. i can assure you that when HR in US read resumes, they will value a WUSTL degree more than a BU degree. if you really want to work in US, you have better chance at WUSTL than BU. if you are not that confident and feels more people know about BU in China, then i guess you can go for BU. the only time i heard about how locaitons play a role is when the company was not willing to pay relocation fees. but you can just say that you are willing to move there on your own.
