rich929. 我也很同意前面一个h...的说法。GMAT is not every thing but of cause can help you if you can get a fairly good score. Also it's nonsense that it's very very hard for elder people to score high in GMAT. I've seen many examples that prove elder people have no problem getting good scores in GMAT. I personally know someone of 44 years old who scored 750 in GMAT. Never be discouraged by other people. Just make sure what you really want and then go for it.
强烈建议如果要想明年申请MBA,从现在开始就准备。包括多多参加一些社团活动。对申请MBA而言,essay 是最重要的。另外,据我所知,好像只有stanford and harvard prefer younger applicants. Wharton obviously at least has no bias on age. Good luck again!
If you are not married, and you wanna have a change in life, then get out of there. Life is short, 2 years of experiences in US will open your eyes and be a precious episode in your life...
I came to US with my wife when I was 30 and I now I have a baby in US, it is great to compare the life in both countries, and now I realize that my career future is still in China although I have a good job in US now.
So overall it seems that it worthes the money, ROI is a different issue if you don't care so much about the money.
No problem if you have a young heart. I'm only 5% younger and now studying in a b-school. Some of my classmates are over 40. As a Chinese, you live in a dramatically changing environment. If you can secure a stable income and decent social status 15 years later, you are not a loser. Moreover, this experience can enrich your life and make it colorful.
USC ibear program is one of the best choices for you. Good luck!
I am 36 this year. I decide to study MBA this year. It is a great pleasure to see that I got many offers from top Canadian Universities and US ones. DO not be discouraged. However, remember, GMAT is important. Be well prepared. I got 750. It helped me greatly, great scholarships at least.
