Thank you for your interest in the Master of Science in Finance at The George Washington University School of Business. At a minimum, applicants to the MSF Program must present a bachelor's degree with 6 credit hours in economics, 6 credit hours in mathematics (including 3 credit hours in calculus), and three credit hours each in financial accounting, managerial finance, and statistics. All prerequisites must be taken prior to admission. If you are an international applicant, we strongly recommend having your university transcripts evaluated by WES and submitted to the program. Additional course work, and/or relevant work experience in the above areas are viewed favorably in the selection process.

We strongly recommend at least two years of full-time work experience to be a competitive applicant (post-undergraduate studies), internships are not generally considered work experience. We do not generally accept GMAT scores below a 590, or GRE scores below 1180 (old scoring system), approximately 310 (new scoring system). You may request to be considered for a GMAT/GRE waiver if you hold significant prior work experience in a finance related field. If you believe you qualify for the GMAT/GRE waiver you may send your resume, in response to this email, to have it evaluated. You must have also completed 16 total years of prior education.
If you do not hold a degree from a US/UK accredited university, you must take the TOEFL/IELTS; minimum accepted TOEFL score is an 80, 6.5 for IELTS (with no band less than 5.5). In regards to GPA, we recommend having had received high scores in all the prerequisite courses.
Our official codes are as follows: GMAT QK4-4F-18; GRE 5246; TOEFL 5438.

The MSF Program only offers fall admission. Due to the large number of applicants; we do not pre-evaluate prospective students. If you meet these requirements, I strongly encourage you to apply for Fall 2015. Application deadline is May 31st, 2015.
