well, it is not easy to think like a German. I have been rejected by uni Bonn and uni Humboldt, both because of my first major. They said, if I still want to study in these unis, I can only apply for bachelor of economic or master of German.

i guess you are applying for their master in econ?
If so, I believe that is reasonable as even a finance major doesnt fulfill as a requirement for master in econ..

Because none of German unis has a MF program........

look into WHU, EBS, frankfurt school of fina, maybe also Mannheim (magnemenet).....
all are 1st tier in german (or close to), though none of them come close to 1st tier in europe.

forgot applying any serious econ master (and german do everything seriously...) as they all require econ major (i.e. with mico macro at intermediate level and econometrics), or a very quantitative background.

actually I took micro- and macroeconomics, each at intermediate level.

Just few minutes ago, I received invitation letter from EBS. So on 08.12 I will take the online interview with it. If both of EBS and Bocconi give me offer, which one do you think is better?

ops, one more thing, my girlfriend's major is business Italian. And though she has a much better background than me(GRE:332, Toefl:110, GPA: 3.88), it is very likely that she will study in Milano. And that is really a important factor for a young man....

i will choose Bocconi to EBS definitly unless I really love germany and want a job in germany very very much..........they are simply two levels.....

Okay, now things become easier. If Bocconi gives me offer, I would charge the deposit and wait for HSG. Otherwise I will do my utmost to get a higher Gmat score and apply for the Honhkong top3.


I really appreciate your help. Now I know myself much clearer. Can I know where do you study or work?
