恩恩，谢谢啦。我自己其实也在考虑这个career plan 但是 大多数学会计的不是都想 去四大么，咨询 或者 投行？ 我只是大概知道各个 行业都是干嘛的， 或许学了会计如果特别厉害的人也能去投行。但是具体的 我真的不清楚。

most go to accounting at the end, quite some not even in big 4 i guess. consultant and i-bank are always difficult, dream less.

any idea about whether you will prefer audit/tax/advisory and why? not only becuase you need a bit on the PS, but also you will be applying for job/intern now/one-year later.



and indeed if you are sure you want to go to accountany side, and go for a master in accounting now......you should have an idea how much you want to stay in US?
i guess that must be a YES else doing a accounting master in US doesn't worth it (as far as i remember, no university with good general reputation offer master in accounting in US).

and thus you should be now looking at how the international students are placed (and why? ratio of intl student? circirulum and training? network and location?) in each program.......


what you are doubting now is not which school you should apply, but indeed the whole plan: pay for a huge tuition, go to US for a account master and try to stay for a job after that........
and this is some live planing (not really career path as you have the choice to apply big4 or eqv at home right now) problem which no one can make decision for you.
and this is indeed an issue you shoud had though about it already.

How about UNC UTA  UVA and Vanderbilt?

sorry for not clear enough.
i here mean good general reputation internationlly (and thus not well-regarded outside US) - and thus having the plan to stay for a job in US afterwards will be curcial, since one need the working experience to deal with this issue.
and it is very often that fresh graduate applicants are not be aware enough of the concern / underestimate the difficulties of getting a job without visa.

the univerisyt on your list are all good univeristy well-known in US i will say (list to add also: UMD, rochester and etc...).........but i guess seldom will said they are very good (or know where they are) as in US.

Fair enough, and I don't think US MSA or AICPA would help much in getting a good job back in China due to the different accounting systems. That's why I agree that career plan is very important~

楼主我并不想说的很mean，但是你所说的那些困惑应该早在你大三想要出国念书时就应该开始思考吧，像柚子说的，机会是给有准备的人的。如果现在申请阶段快过半了你还不清楚自己到底想要什么，申学校的时候自然是迷茫的。你说没有正式工作所以可能不知道怎么样去了解，我觉得大学生身边会有很多资源可以利用吧，不管是出国念书or参加工作的学长学姐，还是专业课prof，甚至CD上很多在职工作的朋友都可以给你建议的吧。而且楼主说过有两个实习，一个四大，实习再怎么水，你基本也接触过想要从事的行业了吧，也跟full-time聊过吧，怎么样心里也应该有个大致的想法。我看楼主说想走名校的水专业这条路，难道这不是更加浪费家里钱的一条路么？花那么多钱可是没有学到很多扎实的知识，对long-term career更不利吧= =
