题干中的they前面是不是省略了which，还是that？或者说是定语从句省略的一种被动语态形式？改成正常句应该是the type of material that they are made of.？

(D) As far as is known

答案：(D)

这里觉得是否用as far as known更顺呢？As far as is known是什么结构啊，感觉多了个谓语。

(C) to receive

(D) she received

答案：(C)

这里为何不可以是received作分词后置定语呢？难道因为the first 关系，这里一定要跟to do?

如果这里纯粹用定语从句来理解，用that表示作者的限制性比较明确。但是单纯讲省略连接词that跟语态没有关系。主要是因为they表示要求从句，be made of 是一个词组。

细细分析，这个好像是一个省略的形式，看看这么描述可不可以：It is as far as is known，但做从句，省略以后成为独立结构。但个人认为直接把这个形式给背下来就可以。呵呵

the first 。。后面跟 to do是一种惯用法没错。 但如果用received做后置定语修饰woman，表示意思绝然不同，“被接受的女性”，实在是语义上的差别不能那么用。

我想第一个问题主要是我把they are made of看成一完整从句而产生的吧。觉得如果是完整从句的话不应该用that在这里做连词，而应该用介词+which结构。不过那样就不能像句中这样省略了。反正是这种带介词词尾的词组用在定语从句中，觉得和介词+which结构有点混淆了。
