[sorry no chinese keyboard]
Plan 1: find some program that don't count much on GMAT, or some program only look at GRE quant, or some program concern about your GPA mostly, and etc....
640 in GMAT is not low, but giving you are a Chinese, this will surly a big concern.
Plan 2: retaking is always a choice, you can always do it with plan 1.
Plan 3: gap one year will be horrible, unless you have a plan to improve your portfolio in this year (except retaking G/T/any standard exam). Typical plus can be a relevant job.
in general, after top 50 (or even top 20-30), no one will hear of that school out of that region (or only hear of the city), and with no decent chances of staying for a job (but this depends much more on the major)
=> both gap and after top 100 will sound to be a poor choice, to me.
P.S. seting the standard at top 100 sounds a bit too low indeed.............after top 20-30 (depends, but definitly not more than 50) bascially it is unknown outside the country. so location dominate (simply for the purpose of job searching).
if you want to have a decent one which have some world reputation, brush up your gmat, or accept that you are not qualified for it yet..... |
