关于fact 的用法,求大神解惑

看了Manhattan上面的关于 fact，because ，due to 的用法，很多都是说 the fact 很wordy。但是OG上面又有例子选了含有 the fact 的选项。

Manhattan上的，在这里我贴出来

Wrong: There is AGREEMENT AMONG them TO THE FACT THAT electrons exist
Suspect:The growth of plants IS EXPLAINED BY THE FACT THAT the sun shines.
(correct but wordy)
SuspectESPITE THE FACT THAT I TAKE frequent naps, I STUDY effectively.
WrongUE TO THE FACT THAT politicians SPEND money, we have a deficit.
Right: The deficit IS DUE TO overspending.(= results from)
   Our policy will not coverdamageDUE TO fire. (= resulting from)
   BECAUSEpoliticians SPEND money,we have a deficit

FACT THAT
RIGHT: It is important to recognize THAT our strategy is working.
SUSPECT: It is important to recognize THE FACT THAT our strategy is working.
THE FACT THAT  our strategy is working hard  is important to recognize.  
WRONG: we have succeeded DUE TO THE FACT THAT we work hard.

以下两道题都是OG12里面的

这道题答案选D，后面答案对E中的解释说：“the fact that” is wordy ,所以不选

请问到底什么时候 the fact 很wordy 呢？ 有点晕啊。。。

如果去掉the fact句子也成立的时候，the fact就是wordy的。比如lz的例子recognize the fact that完成可以写成recognize that...本身that后面的事儿就是fact了，而且recognize 后面可以直接加that从句，所以就不需要用the fact。
而最后一个例子explain by the fact总不能写成explain by that从句，因为by介词后面要加名词性的词，所以要加上the fact 句子结构才完整。
