Both the writer and the professor remark upon the topic of literature reading. The writer in the passage worried that the mass audience spends less time on literature books. However, the professor in the lecture casts doubt on the reading material.

First and foremost, the writer contends that we lose chances on exercising imagination and other abilities because of reading less literature. On the contrary, the professor in the lecture claims that we don't have to focus on the literature. Other categories such as science, history and politics can also stimulate intellecture. Those high-quality books provide a creative way to exercise imagination. Therefore, the lecture is opposite to the reading passage.

In addition, running counter to the belief in the reading passage that people nowadays are spending more time on trivial forms of entertainment, the professor explains that other forms of art such as music and movie are as valuable as literature. Those so-called low standard entertainment gives us a more direct way to understand culture, which keeps pace with the social development. Thus the lecture is at odds with the reading part.

Furthermore, the writer points out that less investment was put into the literature due a lack of audience. This statement is refuted by what is stated in the lecture - - the readers should not be blamed since it is the author's fault to make those literature books too difficult to understand.

To sum up, the reading part is totally jeopardized by the lecture.

这篇作文写的心里挺没底的,一个是因为第二个论点和第三个论点我自己觉得其实讲的像一回事情,第二是因为很多单词我不知道怎么表达,自己生造了一些比如new-graduate,也不知道有没有这些词。

Perhaps no issue is talked as commonly asone’s career throughout the world. Nowadays as people find it becomesincreasingly difficult to find an ideal job, topic among the ability of eitheradaptation to new environment or mastery of excellent knowledge for job is moreimportant to maintain a good job performance has triggered an intensediscussion. In my point of view, either of these two abilities has its ownmerits and demerits, nevertheless, after taking all these elements intoconsideration, I assert that adjusting oneself to the new environment quicklyis play a more crucial role in one’s career.
On top of my argument, adaptation is aquick way to put one’s ability into use. As team spirit become more and moresignificant in the society, one cannot complete a group assignment on his owneven though he has a good command of job required knowledge. Everyone has hisown position in the team, thus for a freshman to company, only with a quickadaptation to the new environment can one contribute his efforts. This kind ofadaptation equips the employees with self-esteem, which could afford them thesense of belonging and fulfillment and encourage them work harder later on. Justtake my brother Tom, who was a graduate and entered an IT firm last year, as anexample. Firstly, Tom was assigned to a product development team, in which bothcreativity and professional knowledge are necessary. To everyone’s surprise, asa newly-graduated, Tom played an inspirer role in the team, who could apply allhe learned in the university together with up-to-date ideas. In this case, Tomhas the ability to adjust himself to the requirement of the team, which gavehim a competitive edge over others. After all, the excellent knowledge is onlyvaluable when it is put into practice.
Furthermore, a good adaptation means anability to learn and to apply. As we all known, time changes more rapidly thanwe imagine, thus there will always be new-developed techniques that we need toupdate our knowledge. Whereas these knowledge especially prepared for jobs mayjust be learned by rote, which lacks flexibility consequently. Therefore, it’sbetter to adjust oneself according to job requirements instead of learning forlearning’s own sake.
In addition, only after you adapt yourselfto the unfamiliar environment can you start to explore the new skills andknowledge related to job. Imagine what if a man with excellent vocationalknowledge changes his job to another industry without adapting to the workenvironment there?
One can never guarantee that he has graspall the related knowledge, be curious for the unfamiliar field and equip anopen mind to accept is always a way to explore. Just as famous saying goes, ifyou give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. But if you teach him how tofish, you feed him for his life.
After ruminating all the factors, adaptation brings implementation of knowledge, ability to learn and explore areall compelling justifications for good adaptation skills to be more importantthan just mastery of knowledge for job. As an undergraduate prepared to stepinto the society, it is high time that we should learn to adjust our roleaccording to the new environment.

Both the writer and the professor remarkupon the topic of Jane Austen's portrait. The writer in the reading passageconfirms that the portrait was adolescent Jane herself. The professor in thelecture, however, casts doubt on the reading part.
First and foremost, the writer contendsthat this portrait was recognized by the Austen's family. On the contrary, theprofessor demonstrates that since in 1882 Austen has already been dead for morethan 70 years, none of the family members has actually seen Austen themselves. As a result, no one can endorse the claim for certain that it is Austen'steenager portrait. Therefore, the lecture is opposite to the writer'sexpectation.
Furthermore, running counter to the beliefby the writer that the face in the portrait resembles the sketch of an adultAusten, the professor claims that it is highly possible that the face was oneof the adolescent relative in Austen's large family. Actually, some specialistspeculates that the portrait was the image of Austen's distant relative, whoresembles some part of teenager Austen. Thus the professor's claim is at oddswith the reading part.
In addition, the writer points out that thepainting was drawn by Ozias, who would be hired by Austen's family. However, the professor refuted what was stated in the reading passage - - although thepainting is unsigned and undated, the stamp in the back of the portaitdemonstrates that the painting did not sold when Austen was a teenager, instead, it is when she was at the age of 27.
To sum up, the lecture by the professor istotally jeopardized by the reading material.

阅读部分,我觉得应该要突出paint's style和 Ozias 像这件事。

To sum up, the lecture by the professor istotally jeopardized by the reading material.

Both the writer and the professor remarkupon the topic of fossil trades. The writer in the passage demonstrates that boththe public and scientists do not benefit from those business where privatecollectors spending millions purchasing fossils. The professor in the lecture, however, claims that its advantages outweigh disadvantages.
First and foremost, the writer contendsthat the public would lose the chance to view the fossils. On the contrary, theprofessor in the lecture asserts that the fossil trades would increase thefossil explosure to the public because institutions such as public schools alsoget the opportunity to purchase fossils rountinely. Actually, the generalpublic would be easier to see the fossils themselves. Therefore, the lecture isopposite to the writer's expectation.
Furthermore, running counter to the beliefin the reading passage that scientists may miss out some potential discoveriesdue to lost access to some important fossils, the professor claims that all thefossils ready to be sold are scientific identified. That is to say, thosefossils have passed through the hands of scientists to be tested, guaranteeingthat they would not miss out anything at all. Thus the lecture is at odds withthe reading passage.
In addition, the writer points out thatcommercial fossil collectors, who are untrained or uninterested commonly, oftendestroy valuable scientific evidence where fossils were unearthed. However, this idea is refuted by what is stated in the lecture, saying that withoutthose commercial trades, some fossils may even remain undiscovered. It's betterto let the scientist lose some surrounded data than completely undiscover them.
To sum up, the lecture by the professor istotally jeopardized by the reading material.
