excuse me, I have read some of your posts and found you are very experienced in mfe and relevant work field. Could please give me some suggestions since I have decided to study in Fordham msqf theis fall and I an dying to work in America.
My Tofel is 101, my major is finance and took some math cources like prob, ode ,pde in math department, except the basic algebra, but I just pass them as a average of 80. I have learnt c++,matlab,python by myself and some online courses in edx
1.what kind of skills  I should pay a priority in the 5 months till Sept to help me finish my study and find an internship first. English speaking, consolidate math or learn advanced programming
or advanced math like stochastic process?
2.What should I do in the 2-year studying to finally find a job
I would really appreciate it if you could take some time.

1. Time Management. You basically need all of that. You need the maths to get good grade in coursework, programming for doing all those projects and anything on-the-job, good English for networking and interview.
of course, getting an summer internship before studying, and reading some stochastic process and numerical analysis/method stuffs are useful.

2. Pray. Pray that Trump wont tighten the working visa policy, whatever H1B or OPT.......I bet you know the things you need to do for fighting for an offer indeed, but luck is important.....
