Regarding the preparation of GMAT, I didn’t go to any training school. But I have been reading WSJ, FT, Time and Economist for five years since I worked for a Fortune 100 company in China after my graduation.
As we Chinese applicant, most of us are likely to have decent GMAT score, someone even higher. But GMAT doesn't account everything. I know Top 10 rejected someone who had 780 while other who had 680 was in. The point is that nowadays B-School weights the quality of the whole application package more than any separate items. So if people have comparable GMAT, what makes them stand out? The cliché still holds true—nothing is more important than essays. Be yourself—unique and specific.
Regarding the interview, leadership, teamwork, why MBA, why this school, why now, are always the topics you will be asked. Have some examples from your professional and daily life. Moreover, nothing is to make interviewer happier than humor; that being said, one should never underestimated the importance of humor in the interview though it is tough for our Chinese.
Be yourself—unique and specific.
