马里兰 港理工 MSF 请大家路过给个意见

Hi there! Regarding your questions, unless you are planning to work in Hong Kong after graduation, I would recommend you choose Maryland. The finance program at Maryland is a great one, and experience in the US will be very beneficial for you when you get back to China. I’d also suggest you try to land an internship or even a short-term, full-time job after graduation. This kind of real world experience could really make you stand out. Hope this helps!

The key point here is how likely an international student are able to find a internship and/or short-time full-time job after graduation.

For sure Maryland MSF is of way higher quality than PolyU one, but if the job oppotunity in US is very limited, I highly doubt if the difference in education expereince worth the different in tuition and oppotunity cost.

For me, I would rather choose to save the $$ and apply for top (or more famous) MBA years later if the probabilit of finding a job in US after Maryland MSF is too low.

UMD兩年MSF直接回國, 這個成本太高了吧.......

PolyU, CityU, Amsterdam的MSF要我三選一的話, 我第一肯定先把PolyU刪去.......
原因很簡單, CityU MSF平宜四萬HKD..........而兩家基本上是same tier.
要細說的話, 也是CityU好一丁點 (for finance)

Amsterdam VS PolyU/CityU的問題,
就看有多想留港工作了.
Amsterdam留荷機會太低(can ignore this choice basically), 如果打算直接回國我會選Amsterdam since more international education, but PolyU/CityU give one more chances for seeking a job in HK.

P.S. 做不成同學的了........我從沒打算過申MSF.........
since i think Master in XYZ + CFA >> MSF (+CFA), where XYZ can be math, stat, econ, account, law, Busines Admin, or whatever related stuffs.

不过仔细看来，你的说法也有问题~
1.阿姆的留下的机会很大，比美国大多了，有一年工作签证，很多人都拿到了荷兰银行或者是500强之类的工作，今年他们的就业指导也比较好；
2.你说的xyz也不一定对，如果目标是中资券商和总行，他们基本上要msf，xyz的话会有个别人进来；另外cfa对中资券商是一点用都没有，他们看重cpa~

我猜不是account的, 沒幾個會有CPA吧.......
從結果回推, 的確是招的MSF為主流, 我會認為是因為applicant selection的原因.
較多的MSF student 會申請, 結果拿下offer的當然比較好......但這不直接等於只要MSF (which should mean only MSF are interviewed, or much higher chances)
再說, 打算留外地先工作一段時間的話,  中資的看法, who cares.......

不好意思现在才回你~我这两天刚做了决定去UMD，除了学术以外的原因主要还是想趁着年轻出去多经历一些事情，如果能在美国找到实习再回来工作的话也算锦上添花吧。选择也没有对错之分，看哪个更适合自己了，虽然做不成同学了，希望你在港理工的学习生活一切顺利~这真是我很舍不得放弃的一所学校。

Hi Frank! Thanks for your useful suggestions. I have made my choice of Maryland. Learning abroad will be great experience for me. Also I highly appreaciate the chance of getting an internship in the US and hopefully I will make that come true. Thanks again!
