选校求助：哥大MSOR vs 哥大MAFN

如题，大家能说说从未来留美和回国就业的角度，说说应该选哪个吗？
个人了解情况如下：
MSOR选课灵活，可以选大部分金融工程的课，选商院和数院的课都相对容易，听说课程也比较实用，性价比比较高，另外就是career service比较好，哥大工程学院似乎比数学学院好。
MAFN比较数学和理论，有6门数学必修课，名气应该比运筹要好一些（我感觉国内很多人不知道运筹是什么，问大家的第一反应就是金数要好于运筹），另外金数的class size比较小。

去OR吧楼主，虽然这论坛导向是MAFN更好，但是正如LZ所说的，flexible更好，性价比较高，MAFN的core way too theoretical了

Condition on MAFN can choose IEOR course with restirction,  MAFN core being too theoretical is not a problem - as having 4-5 advanced/practical elective in financial engineering quite common/enough.

OR's flexible, on the other side of coin is there're no quality control on the academic difficulties across students within the cohort.

Not quite sure if IEOR have better career service than MAFN, but even so, IEOR are likely to give MFE the priority first, while MAFN definitly rank in front of STAT.

Smaller class in general means better quality too.

Financial Mathematics also sounds more relevant than Operation Research in Finance


OR is cheaper, by around USD 5,000 per semester? If so, is quite a number.

都是在哥大名下，应该名气上相差不是大问题，可能稍微金数好听一点，人数上MAFN也在扩招，FT+PT会上百的，今年OR的门槛也有提高不是那么容易进了，相差不是很大，感觉LZ还是可以多考虑考虑课程、学院、就业方面、理论和实践更喜欢什么

今年or有150多人，扩招迹象明显，还是去mafn吧
