以industry为目的读PhD in Finance是否划算？

本人希望以后去业界，回国发展，这样的话花5年时间读金融的PhD从时间成本上来说是否是一个合适的选择？ 也想问一下，PhD去业界是不是更（相对而言）倾向于后台的工作？比如在投行，券商和基金？ps非理工科背景，偏quant的金融方向。

当然不多了···感觉偏quantitative的和做一些复杂的modelling PhD是不是有一些优势·

你就是说看能找到什么工作是么？
个人感觉要是读博的话毕业前就要开始申请 出结果也早 先拿到工作offer再跟phd offer权衡的机会不多 如果说对于phd的申请花了不少功夫的话

純以金錢來算，不值

本來做quant就不值，不是finance最賺錢的位in average…不過很好玩就是了……

如果为了赚钱，这个5年成本太大了。 5年里面，如果能做得好，已经赚到很多钱，并且上位置了。

I think if you want to go to Industry, get a PhD in a Quantitative subject and then get a Finance job would be a better choice. For example, you can look at the PhD programs in Computer Science, Applied and Computational Maths, Statistics, Physics or Operations Research etc.
