请问E为啥不对 我看有的帖子说E没有what从句中没谓语，但是为什么不能想成what the effects是一起的，一起做have的宾语，就像是我们常说的what effect it would have 或者是what time it is now这种用法、
这样为什么不可以

我的理解是。that本来需要修饰intensive series (宾语），如果用to investigate就无法修饰名词了

你这么一说我好像也找到了一个错误~to investigate的逻辑主语必须是主句主语，但是work不能investigate，所以e就不对了

我还以为只是comma+ving的时候才有这个规则

我也不太清楚为什么没有谓语，但是我觉得这个句子最主要的问题是应该从句子意思理解的话，后面应该说是一个怎样的实验，应该休息experiment，这样句子才能表达出intended meaning。我觉得用that从句和分词修饰应该都可行吧，但是只有B的后面表达的更合理。感觉上E选项用that is to investigate蛮舒服的

不知道你记不记得og上有一道题，正确选项是to keep it from 而不选to avoid，答案上就是这么解释的，说主语不可以自己avoid

可能是这样
如果是to investigate 的话就做状语，然后修饰was,然后动作的发出者歧义？。。求高手出现！！！！
