我的问题:1.为什么B 选项中 in using spices for medicine,会造成歧义？前半句已经有 used in cooking，逻辑上in using句子不是应该修饰后半句了吗？
               2.为什么E选项中they既可以指代quantities，也可以指代spices，quantities are taken in large quantities 逻辑上也不通顺啊，不能通过逻辑确定they只能指代spices吗？                 而且按照代词优先指代主语，也应该指代spices不是吗？

首先，unlike A，B。。。这个是固定搭配。而b选项中的that are used in cooking是修饰前面的spices的，不能用来比较，只有spices能用来比较。
SPICES和IN USING SPICES不平行

第二个 我也搞不太懂 试着解释一下
可能是因为
代词会就近指，而quantities离这个代词比较近，就可能指代过去了；并且spices和they中间隔了个谓语动词，离得太远了
