26. It has recently been announced that a new movie theater may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

When it comes to an issue that whether a new movie theater should be built in a neighborhood or not, depending on personal experience, I agree the statement. There are three reasons for my opinion as follows.

To begin with, the main reason why a new movie theater may be set up is that it helps promote the local economy. When people go to a movie, they usually go there earlier in order not to miss the beginning. In their spare times, they go to restaurant or go shopping around the neighborhood. These stimulate the consumption and raise the local economy.

Furthermore, an essential factor why I advocated establishing a new movie theater is that it can offer a lot of job opportunities. As we know, more and more people lose their job nowadays, but when the government plans to establish a new movie theater, they should employ many people not only to work in the theater but also to build the construction. To some content, a new movie theater solves this social problem by affording many job positions.

In addition, a new movie theater provides a new entertainment place to the local people. If there is a movie theater in the neighborhood, people are able to go for a movie conveniently and do not need to spend most time on the way to the cinema. Moreover, the local people have more choice to entertain and relax theirselves but not stay at home at the whole night.  

In a word, a new movie theater may improve the local economy, employ more people and bring a lot of convenience to the local people. From what I have discussed above, I strongly support that it is beneficial to built a new movie theater in my neighborhood.
