我是social psychology的背景申，所以match得比较好吧。学校对我感兴趣我也很意外。

刚跟Duke的一个老师打完电话，主要是他介绍项目的，并没有问任何technical的问题。

跟大家分享一个面试提问的经验，我觉得很有用的。我一般会问老师：你们为啥看上我了，以及你们对我的申请有啥疑问。

前者是你的优势，可以跟老师继续跟进，深入拓展一下，博得欢心；
后者是阻碍你进program的最大因素。比如这老师说了两个concern:1) 我们担心你的写作水平，2)我们这儿没有老师match你的兴趣啦 （我去！）然后我就依次跟他解释了一下。

很囧的是我问那个老师你们啥看上我了，他说：“呃，我们并没有真的看上你，你在我们的排位很后。”  
然后我表示很无奈。

可能是因为我跟他说 “我要去columbia onsite 不能去你们家 不好意思 呵呵” --- 立马跌出shortlist。

请问，有没有人收到UNC-Charlotte的面试通知？

OB确实好寂静啊，完全没有动静。之前有个XDJM问我普度是怎么拒我的，账号一直有问题登不进来。完全没有收到面试通知，我发邮件问过原因，"This year the OBHR area received over 70 applications. Unfortunately space availability and financial constraints prevented us from admitting any students into the program this year."这口气是今年没有找学生，当然，我的背景也不是很好。

As the OBHR admissions committee reviewed the applications received, among the criteria they look at are the following items:
1.   Strong GRE scores (math first, then verbal and analytical).
2.   High TOEFL scores (for foreign applicants).
3.   Quality of the undergraduate institution attended.
4.   Strong background in mathematics (indicated by college course work and grades in such courses).
5.   Strong background in management (indicated by college course work and grades in such courses).
6.   Good recommendations, especially those that highlight an applicant's ability to be successful in research and teaching.
以上也是学校回复邮件中的部分内容，他家对数学的看重彰显了普度浓厚的工科色彩。邮件中还有一处专门提到了数学的重要性。
希望能对以后的XDJM们有所帮助，数学不好的童鞋们，干脆就不要申请他家了。
