118. Some people enjoy change, and they look forward to new experiences. Others like their lives to stay the same, and they do not change their usual habits. Compare these two approaches to life. Which approach do you prefer? Explain why.
Depending on respective experience, personality type and emotional concern, we find that some people hold the idea of staying the same, meanwhile others prefer to enjoy change. According to my character and the current status, I am a strong proponent of the latter one, and I will elaborate my point of view as follows.
First of all, the new experiences can bring us so much knowledge, which we can not obtain from the books. Not only an interesting experience but also a cheerful one would be strongly impressed on our memories, especially some experiences bring us meaningful information. Being eager to know anything and curious about the world surrounding me, I constantly look forward to have some new experiences. As we all know, there are so many invaluable inheritances of knowledge, which is now rather important for us all, found by some adventurers from the past. For instance, if Columbus didn’t find the new continent of America during one of his prominent “adventures”, then hardly could we have such abundant soil resource to utilize today. Even I can not find where the New York city would exactly lie.
On the other hand, from various experiences we can encounter all kinds of dwellers at the different places around the world where we enjoy our holidays or trips there. Maybe some of the persons would become our friends because of the similar personalities or hobbies, even people in different colors, regions, culture and so on. A case in point here just for myself is that one of my best friends in India now is the one I met during one of my vacations. Although there are so much between us at odds, I really appreciate the precious chance I found a genuine friend so far from me.
In addition, some new experiences would bring us more available opportunities such as the one for our future careers. During the tide of our modern society, more and more people begin to deem that the more experiences the person has, the more competent the one is. （请问，这个表达对吗？）For example, an employee in an certain advertisement company must be more capable of designing for some products with the pictures, about the places where he was ever enjoyed his great time there in person, than his colleague who knows little about the places.
Admittedly, by comparison, the persons who like to stay the same, to some extent, will avoid the mistakes as many possibly as the ones enjoying their experiences, especially do anything as a routine, which would make the risks minimum.
In conclusion, given the reasons above, it is not difficult for us to draw the conclusion that the persons who prefer to enjoy change would integrate their lives much more than the opposite ones and gain the bountiful reward from the experiences.
