Don't worry too much. There are some severe weather conditions. Most schools are closed because of snow.
Notre dame announced yesterday: "Due to continued driving restrictions in the area, the University of Notre Dame will be closed until 1:00 PM tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th."

btw, as for the "access" issue, I think what she meant is that you can't make any adjustments to your application once you submit it. Of course you can log in...While for the recommendation letter, there are some possibilities. When there is heavy snow, the infrastructure can suffer which means things like internet and electricity can be cut off. The application system may suffer technical issues. And also, after the Christmas holiday, usually not much work will be done during the first week. There might also be a slim chance that your professor didn't submit correctly...Normally you will receive an instant notification email once the recommendation letter is submitted.
I know it's kinda of weird that ND's MSA application system is not up to date at all...
Karen is very nice. I hope that all the applicants can put yourself in those coordinator's shoes and be more understandable. They have to handle a lot of materials.

因为特别想去ND，喜欢friendly互助的environment。。。
但现在看来很多sit taken了，

重新写了一下背景，国内非211会计专业，小时候在德国美国3年，现在有一个paper，
实习有四大的，国内所的，和银行的两个。GPA3.81。托福110。gmat650。
各种校内外比赛，演讲比赛第一名，挑战杯二等奖。

据我估计，还有seats！不过要抓紧申请，1月确实不算很早了。如果特别想要来nd，就不要放弃申请，免得以后遗憾。
gmat既然重考了不太理想，就好好修改自己的简历和ps，尽量把自己能做的做到最好。虽然gmat稍微底一点，但是你的托福，gpa都还不错的。软件的东西我很难去帮你evaluate，因为重要的是你在实习，课外活动中做了什么，而不是你collect多了big name的实习（虽然big name一定程度上也很重要啦）。把你从你过去的经历中获得的成长完整的表达在你的ps里面吧！加油！！

hello aileen,
I submitted my application and received the confimation email from karen 10 days ago. Can I ask usually how long will I hear from the office again?
Do you know how many seats are still around? Really want to get some information from you guys.

Q: how long will I hear from the office again?
A: It depends.  If ND seriously considers your application it will take some time.  They tend to reject people quickly.
Q: Do you know how many seats are still around?
A: No one knows! My estimate is 陆本3 美本 3-4. The wild card is how many will be from the applicants who are currently "Hold." They also expect to lose a couple "Accepted."  It is a moving target.
