各位大神，我总觉得自己这篇Issue写的很烂…没有发展，两个观点颠来倒去一直在重复。能不能请给位大神帮忙指点一下。先谢过了。

16) Some people believe thatin order to be effective, political leaders must yield to public opinion andabandon principle for the sake of compromise. Others believe that the mostessential quality of an effective leader is the ability to remain consistentlycommitted to particular principles and objectives.

Write a response in whichyou discuss which view more closely aligns with your own position and explainyour reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting yourposition, you should address both of the views presented.

There is an ongoing debateon how political leaders can be more effective and efficient. Some people thinkthat they should listen to what the public say and abandon principle for thesake of compromise. Others believe that in order to be effective, politicalleaders should stick to specific principles and objectives no matter whatother's suggestion is. In my point of view, both two suggestions have somedefects and should be combined together. A real effective political leadershould remain consistently committed to universal law and principle while also bewilling to yield to public opinion.

An effective politicalleader should always stick to universal laws and principles. Our behaviortowards others should be controlled, directly or indirectly, through moralstandards, religious doctrines, social traditions and legal rules. It isuniversal laws and principles that maintain and ascertain that every socialperson control themselves in a right way, and, if not, punish their wrongbehavior. As a result, political leaders can rely on laws and principle tocontrol social equality and security. Any political leader should not abandonprinciple and laws to satisfy the public, which will lead to tremendous chaosin the future.

But a leader that will notchange or even listen to the need for change can cause irreparable damage.While principle and laws should not be changed, specific objectives can be flexible.If a political leader insists on a particular aim regardless of other'sopinion, he or she might get lulled into a sense of permanence. This will haveextremely bad influence to his or her subordinates and even the wholeorganization in the long term. Because the leader is not willing to accept anyof useful advice, his or her inferiors will become reluctant to give any otheropinion and finally lose faith in their leaders’ abilities. What's more, ifgood ideas and solutions fail to get implemented in the organization, the wholesystem stagnates, thus failing to make any effective progress in the future.Such kind of inefficient leader will be cast out of the political stage by thepublic.

In order to be effective, aqualified leader should never compromise principle, but objectives andapproaches may need to be adapted. Leaders in Singapore apply a very strictprinciple to their citizens on environment protection. Any person who breaksthe rule will be punished seriously. Some of these punishments are very severethat, in the public’s view, they are not supposed to punish such little wrongdoings. But leaders don't yield to other's advice. And the result proves to besatisfying because Singapore has become one of the cleanest countries globallyunder their management. A great leader should listen to his or her citizens aswell. All citizens have an equal say in the decision that affects their lives.An effective leader should assure that the best possible decision should bereached in the sake of the majority people.

In conclusion, a leadershould be effective after achieving two requirements. Firstly, he or she shouldmaintain constant on principle and laws to create a well-being society. Secondly,he or she should listen to what public people say and be flexible to make sure mostpeople’s desires are fulfilled. People failing to do any of these two are notable to lead the public in an effective way.
