The curious case of accounting numbers Accounting generally does not make news headlines. Yet it has gathered more than its fair share of news headlines around the globe in recent times – from Enron and WorldCom in the U.S. to Parmalat (Italy), Satyam (India), and more recently Olympus (Japan), HP-Autonomy and reverse mergers listed in the U.S., among others.  In this talk, we will take a look at the curious case of accounting numbers.
