看到有人问optional essay要不要写，推荐信的问题要不要全回答的问题，我的观点是写不写是你的事， ...

推薦信上的問題，我反倒建議一定要填

所有statement 沒有 支持就是空談

如果在分數後能加上理由，比方加一個小例子，同儕比較，甚至推薦人的個人感受，那就更有說服力

而且，如果一個推薦人真心全意支持你，多寫幾個字能花多少時間？如果其他申請人的都有寫，你沒有就虧大了
(顯得你沒好好manage你的推薦人）

请问楼主，关于conditional offer.  我已经在R1提交申请，所有材料除了语言成绩都已提交，我想问如何申请先面试再补语言成绩？这种情况多吗？

學業背景是足夠的，G有650＋ 就可以試一下，ielts 有7 基本硬件應該沒問題。

现在纠结一个问题 HKUST给了conditional offer，需要我重考GMAT（2007年考过，750，但5年有效期已过）。HKU给了Direct Offer，因为我有7年国际投行IBD工作经验，所以waive了我的GMAT。我到不是担心重考GMAT，主要是没时间啊，现在工作忙，平均每周出差两次。数次和MBA Office尝试沟通，未果。个人感觉HKUST在supporting document、GMAT方面比较死板，条条框框很严格。需要在本周作出决定，希望得到一些中肯的建议。多谢各位前辈、朋友！

注：我是申请的Part Time。

Suggest you to give a phone call to their AD office. They are quite tied up and thus slow in responding emails.

我只問一個問題，你會希望跟一堆因為工作經驗而不需考GMAT的同學一起上課嗎？

多補充一句，框架是用來Filter對UST不認真的同學，填個Form交個表都不能，怎完成MBA課程？
再多補充一句，GMAT只是其中一個指標，你已收到Conditional Offer，隨便考個650+ 應該已經沒問題

Agree Zephix, You are right in the sense that GMAT and other screening facilities, such as essays, referee forms, salary proof are intended to filter out those applicants who do not see HKUST MBA as the only accessible learning  or self-evolving objective currently. If the enthusiasm keeps on and other circumstances remain static in the forthcoming 2 years during MBA session,  you can expect a batch of alumni whom really commit themselves toughly to a 'learn something' process and try to transform himself. However there appears no correlation between the GMAT score and the learning capacities during MBA whatsoever the 'get-job-done' abilities post-MBA. My suggestion is, Charles, try to negotiate with school on GMAT. You are the buy-side, while school is on sell-side, in this case. Good luck.

Overall, 看你个人选择了。如果你对择校无所谓的话，那就take那个不需要你考的offer。

如果你favor科大，那么就考吧，学校严格实际上设定了你同学的pool, 并且对很多事情都有更多好处。我是FT, 当时考个GMAT也相当不容易。周一飞出周六飞回，也死撑了那么两个月考了。在飞机上复习，在酒店里晚睡几个小时做mock，每天睡3，4个小时。时间还是能挤出来的。
