看了ron的帖子和CD上的，这点大家是都认同的：l  of up to 600 rooms each 作为插入语修饰 structures，connected 分词跳过插入语修饰前面最邻近的名词structures。

我的问题是： of up to 600 rooms each，这个插入语是怎么修饰 structures的？

each指代structures？这里有倒装吗？语序调整过来该怎么说呢？

这个问题，我就不发表看法了，因为我一直以来认为插入语的定义是要和句子中的其它成份无关。
所以如果一个成份修饰名词作定语？，那它肯定不是一个插入语，如果是其它修饰那是什么？

插入语； 在一个句子中间插入一个成分，它不作句子的何种成分，也不和句子的何种成分发生结构关系，同时既不起连接作用，也不表示语气,这个成分称之插入语

其中of up to 600 rooms each,是个插入语，解释说明engineered structures,
其实在做题理解的时候，如果不是划线部分，这类插入语可以忽略不读。他们存在的价值就是表面上增加句子的复杂度。

我上边已经说了插入语不可能在句子中作成份的，我认为这两个句子中大家说的插入成份其实是同位语，一个是形容词作同位语，一个是介词短语作同位语。
请看语法书上的介词短语作同位语的例子；Wang Li,just back from the training class,was made director of the Maternity Home.  
这里如果当成插入语那么我觉得楼主的问题---”of up ……“是如何修饰information的就很难回答，
我认为更为重要的是介词短语作同位语的使得这个句子的结构异常的清晰，顺畅。当然了我也不是有意和大家唱反调，大家都说是插入语想来也有这样说的道理，敬请楼主及各位方家斧正。
