这边A选项说“加了逗号使得and representing没有语法上的平行对象”，我之前看过prep的总结说"，and"后面应该只能跟一句完整的句子，这边错误我是理解的，可是没有语法上平行的对象是什么意思呢？
A选项说现在分词结构修饰对象不清楚，这边的修饰不清楚是指这个分词结构修饰主句中哪个名词不清楚呢，还是说对这个分词结构究竟充当伴随状语还是起修饰作用不清楚。（额，也不是很明白句中的分词结构能不能做伴随状语用）
P.S。另外一直有个疑惑，句尾分词再起伴随状语作用时，是只能做主句谓语动词的伴随状语不能做从句的谓语动词的伴随状语，是这样吗？

因为and前面有了逗号，就把这个句子和前面的 amounting to roughly five miles per gallon分割开来了。从句子结构上来说应该和主句One automobile manufacturer has announced plans to increase the average fuel efficiency of its sport utility vehicles by 25 percent over the next five years并列，但是amounting和has announced不平行，所以答案说没有语法上平行的对象

那在麻烦 问一下prep里总结过说"逗号加and"后面应该跟的是independent clause ，这个IC是什么意思呢？？

这个说法我以前没有注意过，但是个人认为应该是指and后面应该加完整的句子（就是主谓齐全的句子 ）
