Thanks to you all, just would like to share some of my background and feelings: My GMAT only hits 720. I used to hear that last year most Chinese students admitted by Duke got a score no less than 750. So don't let such sayings frustrate your application intentions. If you feel Fuqua is right for you, go ahead. I am only with 2.5 year full-time WE till now and not in a management position. But the important thing is to prove your gradual professional development through the past experience and let the interviewer and Adcom see your potential, as well as your career path and goal fit in MBA study and MBA in Fuqua. Another suggestion is to be proactive. I didn't receive the alumni interview after submitting application, while I knew that the process had begun already. So I went to the MBA fair and talked to a Fuqua alumni there to ask whether he could conduct an interview if the Adcom was too busy to make such arrangements. Then I wrote an email to Adcom informing them about the details. I got the interview with that alumni 3 days later and everything was settled. You see, sometimes you really need to take the initiative. I think it is also what an MBA student should be equipped with. Good luck to you all guys! |
